Q: "Where do I go to view and purchase my child's portraits?"
~ Click on the "School Portraits" tab in the orange bar on the home page.
~ A page with galleries will come up. Click on the gallery named after your child's school and school year.
~ Now it is time to enter the access code to the gallery. This password is provided in the take home materials handed out or emailed to you by the school. The code is changed every year so a password from previous years will not work.
~ Click on the gallery named after your child's classroom.
~ Portraits are arranged alphabetically by last name.
~ Browse, buy, and enjoy!
Q: "Where are my child's portraits from last year? Can I still order them?"
~ Galleries expire after 11 months. After 11 months, only digital files are available to purchase. Please contact us directly and provide the school name, your child's name, and the classroom they were in during that year. We will gladly assist you in purchasing digital files.
Q: "Do I have to place my order online through your shop site?"
~ Absolutely not! If you find yourself getting confused or frustrated with our shopping system, look no further. You can simply call or email us and provide the following information:
* Your child's school
* Your child's full name and classroom
* The image name/number of the image(s) you would like to order (exmp: Smith-John-1234.jpg)
* The products that you would like to buy
* If you would like free delivery to the school (if in season) or shipping to your home. Please provide your address if you would like your order to be shipped to you.
* We will then send you an invoice to pay online or via check to our office.
Q: "Can I place an order through my smartphone?"
~ Unfortunately not. Our site does not yet support the technology that allows our clients to make a purchase via smartphone. Please use a computer, tablet, email or call us directly.
Q: "What if I cannot find my child's portraits online?"
~ Has it been 5 business days since your child's portrait session? If not, please allow 5 business days and check the gallery again. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are still unable to find your child's photos after that time.
~ Did you search through the entire class gallery? Sometimes due to misspelled names or if we were not provided the child's information, their pictures will be unnamed and placed at the end of the gallery. Otherwise, all pictures are arranged alphabetically by last name.
~ If your child had retakes done, those pictures will NOT appear with the original class gallery. They will be in a section named "Retakes" in your child's school gallery.
Q: "How do I download my digital images?"
~ Digital images can be downloaded only after a payment is processed. You will receive an email confirming your purchase. Please click on the order link to be directed to your order. You will see red text next to your purchased images that says "download image". Click on that and it will be saved to your computer. Digital images with retouching requests will be sent directly to you after the retouching has been completed. NOTE: you may choose to have your images burned to disc by request instead of downloading them to your computer. A $10.00 fee applies for this service.
Q: "What if my payment won't go through?"
~ We recommend waiting at least 24 hours to make sure that the payment doesn't get pushed through before trying to make a payment again. Other options to make payment is providing us a credit card over the phone or we also accept checks. Checks can be mailed to: PO Box 260935, Lakewood, CO 80226. Please reference the order number on your check. **NOTE: Unpaid orders will not be processed until a payment is received.
Q: "How soon will I receive my order?"
~ Orders are processed on the 1st of the month. For Fall portrait sessions, we will deliver orders to the school until December 1st. **NOTE: You must select and pay for shipping the order to your home during our off seasons.
Q: "What do you do with my registration and payment information?"
~ All of our payments are processed through PayPal. Therefore, we are never able to view or access your credit card information. All of this information is stored in PayPal, not with Silver Kite Photography. If you have any questions or concerns about the privacy of your payment information, please contact PayPal directly.
~ When you register with Silver Kite Photography's shop, only the information that you provide to us is stored. We do require certain information in the event that we need to contact you regarding your order and also so that our parents do not need to create a new account every year. We will never share or sell your information to anyone. As always, for any clients that are concerned with ordering through our system for security reasons, please call or email us and we will be happy to personally create an order with you.
